Continuous Campaigns in Retention Pro are the campaigns that send out daily to customers based on Trigger criteria.
Once you have activated a new Continuous Campaign in Retention Pro it can take anywhere from an hour to 48 hours to begin sending. From there, campaigns should send out regularly but can be delayed or limited due to a few different factors.
Trigger and Filter Settings
Because Continuous Campaigns rely on Triggers to send out it could be possible that no customers meet the Trigger and Filter criteria on that specific day. For example; if you activate an After Visit Follow Up campaign to send out 2 days after a visit but your shop was closed for the last week then the campaign would not start sending until there were closed Repair Orders that were 2 days old to trigger it sending.
- You will also want to make sure that the Filter settings for the campaign are logical for your customers and repair orders. If you are using an Oil Change Reminder and have set the Average Spending Per Visit filter to $300 or more but your standard Oil Change is $90 then you would be omitting customers who may only use your shop for their regular oil changes.
Campaign Scheduler Window
It is also important to have sufficient time in the Campaign Scheduler to allow the system to queue the messages and send them out. The campaign scheduler is a great way to make sure that message send out when you will be available to respond to them but it is important to note that you will need a large enough window (generally at least an hour or two) for the system to process the messages.
- Let's say you wanted to only have messages going out first thing in the morning when your shop is not as busy, if you set the scheduler to only have a 30 minute window from 9:00am-9:30am then the system would likely not have enough time to send the messages. You would instead want to have a window available from 9:00am-11:00am. The messages will generally still send out closer to 9:00am but this allows time for the system to process your campaign.
Please note, if you try to activate a continuous campaign outside of business hours they will not send until the next open business hours we have listed for your shop.
If you notice that a campaign has not begun to send out within 48 hours of being activated, and it is within your listed business hours, please reach out to our Support team for further assistance. Please see How Do I Contact Bolt On? for methods of contacting our Support team.
