Enabling Virtual Printer in Report Pro

With Report Pro’s virtual printer feature you can seamlessly print Report Pro invoices from your Mitchell system, eliminating the need to switch screens.

Things To Note

  • This can currently only be done from the Mitchell system

  • Your Report Pro software must also be open at the time that you want to print an invoice

How To

  1. From your Report Pro software:

    1. Select Settings from the top menu
    2. From the Settings options choose Virtual Printer
      1. Click on the button that says "Install Virtual Printer"
      2. Allow the permissions for the Report Pro Virtual Printer
    3. Then choose the option from the left side of the settings window for Quick Reports
      1. Select your preferred Invoice Template
      2. Select the Printer you would like your invoices to print from
      3. Select the Printer Tray you would like to use if applicable
      4. Adjust if you would like multiple copies to print
      5. Select Save & Close
  2. From Mitchell:
    1. Click on File at the top of your Mitchell screen
    2. Select Print Setup from the File menu
      1. From either the Estimate, Repair Order, or Invoice options:
        1. Under Select Printer choose Report Pro
        2. Uncheck the box that says "Default Print to Screen"
        3. Repeat this process for each item that you would like to have printed through Report Pro (Estimate, Repair Order, or Invoice)
        4. Click on "OK" at the bottom of the window to Save
  3. Once you’ve completed setup, simply choose Print from within Mitchell and your selected documents will print through Report Pro using your Quick Reports settings.  For more on Quick Reports see Setup for Quick Reports
