Once the website add-on has been enabled for your account you will be able to choose a template and begin to build the basic content for your website.
Choosing a Website Template
- The templates available have been designed to show a personality or style for your shop and your website. You can choose Linear Auto Template, Trustworthy, Professional, or Authentic; depending on your preference and what you feel best represents your shop.
- To see the template in more detail, click on the image for the template on this screen. It will open a preview of the template that you can view on different screen sizes and scroll through to see the full layout.
- When you are ready to select a template click on the arrow next to that template. This will open a screen where you can Edit or Publish your site and use “Site Info” for a guided content set up to get you started.
- Once you have selected a template this will be your default landing page when you return to the Websites area under Management.
Providing Content for Your Website
- After you have selected a template you will have the “Site Info” section available below your selected template.
- Once you fill out the questions or information on a page you can click on Next to move through the guided set up. Some of the questions/content may be pre-filled using the information you have already entered in the Company Settings area of Retention Pro.
- Logo file recommendations are PNG or JPG: dimensions of logo no less than 1000 Height and width (also can be 300 DPI). This is the same recommendation for the standard logo you would add into the Retention Pro system.
Once you have finished the Site Info and reached the site editor, the information you enter here will be used to fill in a lot of the information for your site. You will still be able to edit any text or images from the site editor.
- Once you reach the final page of Site Info the Next button will instead say Finish. Once you have clicked on Finish you can go back to the top of the page and select the "Edit" button next to your chosen template to access the site editor.
Customizing Your Website’s Branding
- Once you have gone through the guided set up, the system will automatically choose colors for your website based on your shop logo. You can view and adjust these colors by going to the “Theme” area in the website editor - Using the Site Editor for Shop Success Pro PitStop Websites
- You want to keep in mind while making any adjustments to the theme/colors on the website that they should reflect your shop’s branding.
- As an example; if your logo colors are Electric Green, Black, and Persimmon Orange you may wish to tone down the orange accent elements on your site to make it more visually appealing. Instead of picking a different color of orange you could change the “tone” of the color so it is still within your branding but just a softer version of it.
- You can also adjust the text font and the images on the website to better align with your brand.
