If you encounter a prompt to switch the phone number while using the quick message function or sending a work order from Report Pro, this may be due to the configuration settings in Message Manager.
Things to Note
- If it is only one customer that is causing the switch phone number prompt it could be due to their number being entered in the incorrect field of your shop management system.
- If all customers cause the switch phone number prompt, Message Manager settings need to be adjusted according to how you enter your customer’s information in your shop management system.
How To
- Open a customer in your shop management system
- Note which field their phone number is entered in
- You might have the primary phone number entered in the Cellular field and the secondary number in the Work/Home field, or vice versa.
- Open Message Manager Pro
- Click on the Settings tab at the top of Message Manager
- Select the “Shop Management” button found in the Settings tab
- Click on the drop down arrow under Primary Cell Phone
- A list of options will populate on the drop down menu, choose the option that fits which field is used in the customer profile/tab of your management system
- Click on Save & Close from the left side of the Settings window
- You can test if this has resolved the prompt by opening the work order in Report Pro and clicking the “Text” button.
