An option in the Company Settings of Retention Pro is called Inbox Clearing Mode.
In the Company Settings area of Retention Pro you will find a section for Messages. In the Messages section is an option in Messaging Mode to enable Inbox Clearing Mode. - For more information on Company Settings please see the Company Settings Overview
Simply put, Inbox Clearing Mode will "hide" messages in the Retention Pro Messaging Center after the set period of time. To enable it you would follow these steps;
- Click the box next to Messaging Mode
- Select Inbox Clearing Mode
- Set the desired "Unread expiration" time period
- Click the Update Settings button
The default and suggested Messaging Mode is the Standard Mode which does not hide/archive messages. Generally a shop should only consider Inbox Clearing Mode if they exclusively read incoming text messages through the email notifications of those conversations and they do not actually use the Messaging Center.
Inbox Clearing Mode does not consider if a message is read or unread, all messages older than the designated time period will be hidden. This can cause you to be unable to see all unread messages when enabled.
