      Welcome Station - Setting Up and Applying Basic Settings on the Tablet

      Setting up the basic functions of Welcome Station on a tablet

      Things To Note

      This article will cover:

      • Connecting Welcome Station to the database

      • Setting a custom PIN code

      • Setting up a custom shop logo on the splash screen

      How To

      1. Connecting Welcome Station to the Database

        1. Open welcome station and navigate to the settings menu

          1. On Mitchell there will be a lock in the top right to access, default access code is 1019

          2. On other management systems without the lock, press and hold in the middle of the screen after the splash page and that will bring up the pin prompt

        2. Once in the Settings screen, scan the code for the tablet from the host computer following the steps below. This creates the connection.

          1. From the host computer, launch the Propack application, select “Report Pro” then “Settings” from the top navigation bar

          2. From “Settings” click on “Mobile Config”. Windows may require permission to continue, if it does, allow it. Once this occurs, a new window with a QR code will be displayed, this is the code you need to scan.

        1. Tap save to save settings

      2. Setting Custom PIN Code

        1. Enter the settings screen in welcome station

        2. Changing the admin pin is located at the bottom of the settings screen. 

        3. Tap Save to save settings

      3. Add Custom Logo to Welcome Station Splash Screen

        1. To add the shop logo instead of the bolt on technology logo, download or locate your shop logo.

          1. Recommended size for the logo is 750 x 250 in pixels. PNG and JPG are preferred formats.

        2. Transfer the logo over to the tablet

          1. Using Computer:

            1. Using the power cord for your tablet, connect it to the tablet and to a USB port on you data host computer. You can then browse the tablets directories in Windows Explorer from your data host computer.

            2. Copy your shop logo to the Downloads folder of your tablet

        3. Setting the logo in welcome station

          1. Open Settings on welcome station tablet

          2. Hit the select button under the logo header

          3. Select the image from options in folder

          4. Tap Save to save settings
