Using the Newsfeed in Account Management

Newsfeed in the Account Management Portal shows current Repair Orders

Things To Note

  • When you first sign up, it can take up to 24 hours for your initial information to appear in Account Manager.

  • Newsfeed displays all current repair orders from your shop management system

  • Supported shop management systems for this feature are; Mitchell1 Teamworks/ShopKey Pro, NAPA Tracs Enterprise, RO Writer SQL, and MaxxTraxx

How To

  1. Log in to dashboard.boltontechnology.com

  2. Select Newsfeed from the top toolbar.

  3. Log into your Account Management Portal, Click here for steps to log in.

  4. After you log in, you’ll be taken to the Settings page.

  5. To access the Newsfeed, click the three lines in the upper right corner.

    1. Select Newsfeed from the menu

  6. When you open the Newsfeed module, it will display all current repair orders from your shop management system. The following information is displayed:

    1. Shop Name

      1. If you have multiple locations you can ensure you are viewing the correct location

    2. Date/Time

      1. The last time the ticket was updated

    3. Vehicle Profile Picture

      1. Profile photo associated with the Bolt on Software

    4. Customer name

      1. Click the customer’s name to open a new tab with their details. 

      2. This information includes : Customer Name, Address, Phone Numbers, Email, Customer Notes, and Vehicles Under the Customer.

    5. Vehicle Information

      1. Click the vehicle information to open a new tab with full vehicle details.

      2. This information includes : Vehicle Year, Make, and Model, License Plate, VIN, Exterior Color, Transmission, Engine, Body Style/Unit Number, Vehicle Profile Picture, and Outstanding Recommendations by Most Recent.

    6. Ticket Number

      1. Click the invoice or order number to open a new tab with more order details. 

      2. This information includes: Repair Order #, Customer Name, Vehicle, Order Date (When Order was Created), Status, Service Writer, Technician, Open/Posted, Odometer, Total Hours, and Order Total.

    7. Dollars

      1. Hover over the Dollar Amount for a breakdown of Parts, Labor, and Tax

    8. Hours

    9. Technician

    10. Service Advisor

    11. Inspection Name

      1. If no inspection is performed, the name will show “NO INSPECTION”

  7. To return to the Settings page click the three lines in the Upper right corner and select Settings from the menu options.
