Additional information to Install & Configure TT040-50 Printer for Lube Sticker Pro

Things To Note

  • The printer must be plugged into a workstation with a printer USB cable and powered on before software installation

  • Lube sticker information should be gathered before installation. Verify label size, orientation, and if the labels are preprinted with logo or text. Verify desired information to print on lube sticker (Shop Name, Phone, Shop Slogan, Oil Type, etc.)

  • Lube sticker roll and ribbon should be installed prior to software installation

How To 

  1. Download Printer Driver and Bartender Software

    1. Run ProPack setup on the designated lube sticker host computer

    2. Select TECLabel Printer under Lube Sticker Pro as well as the other services your shop is subscribed to

    3. Select Finish. The printer driver and Bartender software will automatically be downloaded with the other software applications

    4. Tec Label driver and Bartender setup wizards will automatically launch

  2. Install Printer Driver and Bartender Software 

    1. Select Next to the license agreement for the printer driver. Then select Next on the following screen to confirm the installation directory. Select Finish to launch the driver wizard.

    2. The driver wizard will display. Toggle “Install printer drivers” and select next.

      1. Select USB or Network and select Next. The driver will search for the printer on the workstation.

      2. Select Share name to share the printer, then select Next. Select Finish

    3. Select Next to the license agreement for the Bartender software. Select Next on the following screen to confirm the installation directory. Finish the install wizard using all defaulted options

    4. Reboot workstation if prompted after installing the driver.

  3. Create Custom Lube Sticker

    1. Open TecLabel 1.5 x 2.5 from C:\BOT\LubeTemplates\Zebra

      1. Bartender will open prompting for which Trial version to use. Choose Enterprise Trial

    2. Double click on a blank space on the template to change the label orientation and size

    3. Double click on each existing text object to edit the text. Text objects can be added by selected Create>Text from the toolbar. Text objects can be removed by left clicking and selecting the Delete key.

    4. Left click and drag each text object to rearrange them as needed

  4. Save Lube Sticker Template

    1. Select File>Save As from the toolbar

    2. Navigate to C:\BOT\LubeTemplates\Zebra

    3. Rename the template to "custom" or "customlabel"

      1. Keep the file extension as .btw

    4. Select Save

  5. Save the .txt file

    1. Change the printer port from USB to File

      1. Open Devices and Printers from the Control Panel. Right click on the printer and select Printer Properties. Select the Ports tab. Change the port from USB to File. Select Apply, then OK.

    2. Print to File from Bartender

      1. Select File from the toolbar, then Print

      2. Choose the Tec Label printer from the drop down list of printers. Select Print

      3. Select Print to the second prompt

      4. Navigate to C:\BOT\LubeTemplates\Zebra. Save the file as customlabel.txt or custom.txt

    3. Reset printer port to USB

  6. Configure Lube Sticker Pro

    1. Open Lube Sticker Pro on the lube sticker host workstation.

    2. Selecting Settings>Printer

      1. Select the arrow next to Printer Type and select Zebra

    3. Select the arrow next to Printer Name and select the Tec Label printer

      1. \\ComputerName\TT040-50 is an example

    4. Select the arrow next to Sticker Template and select "custom.txt" or "customlabel.txt"

    5. Select Save

  7. Perform Test Print and Save Lube Sticker Template to Customer Folder

    1. Save both .btw and .txt files
