Reordering Groups In An Existing Inspection Template

How to reorder groups in an existing inspection template from your Next Gear application

Things To Note

• You can now view and edit your inspections from any work station, tablet, or device.

How To

1. Open a web browser and go to  nextgear.boltontechnology.com  

   1. This is the main log in page for the Next Gear application

   2. Enter your Cell Phone number into the text field with the mobile device icon

      1. Select the Send Access Code button

      2. You will receive an Access Code via text message and email to the phone number and account email that was provided

      3. Enter the Access code in the provided text field

      4. To stay logged into your account select the checkbox provided

      5. Select the Sign in button to proceed

         1. Select your shop location by selecting the corresponding button

         2. To Add a new location select the add location button

      6. Proceed to the next step of this page below

   3. To create an account see Create an Account

2. From the inspection view of the Next Gear application

   1. Select the Settings option from the top right of page (the gear icon)

      1. On the left of the page under the NextGear heading

      2. Select the Inspection Editor button

      3. Select the Inspection you would like to edit

         1.  From the Groups page

            1. Groups will keep your inspection points organized; for example, you may have a Group named Brake System on this inspection template and under that you will have all of your brake check point descriptions 

         2. The Groups will display on your inspections how they appear on your screen

            1. To change the order of your groups, press the 6 dot button next to the name of the group you would like to move

            2. Drag and Drop the group title into the desired position in the list 

               1. Repeat these steps until you are satisfied with your inspections group presentation order
