How to take pictures using the Next Gear application

Things To Note

• You can now create, view and edit your Next Gear  inspections from any work station, tablet or device with a web browser 

• You can load pictures from your workstation computer or take pictures with your tablet

How To

1. Open a web browser and go to  nextgear.boltontechnology.com  

   1. This is the main log in page for the Next Gear application

   2. Enter your Cell Phone number into the text field with the mobile device icon

      1. Select the Send Access Code button

      2. You will receive an Access Code via text message and email to the phone number and account email that was provided

      3. Enter the Access code in the provided text field

      4. To stay logged into your account select the checkbox provided

      5. Select the Sign in button to proceed

         1. Select your shop location by selecting the corresponding button

         2. To Add a new location select the add location button

      6. Proceed to the next step of this page below

   3. To create an account see Create an Account

1. Select the Inspections link from the header at the top of the Next Gear application

   1. Your shop's inspections will be listed on the Inspection view

   2. This view gives you the basic information about your inspections

      1. Each item in the list view has Customer name, vehicle type, type of inspection, general picture of detail health showing number of points in each color (red, yellow, green)

      2. Review your Inspections information

      3. To take a picture:

         1. Select the inspection you would like to add a picture too

         2. You will now see each individual inspection point within the inspection along with basic notes

            1. To add a picture to a specific point 

               1. Select the desired inspection point

               2. From the Inspection Point pop up window

               3. Select the camera button on the bottom of the window - Note that all your pictures will be visible next to the camera icon

               4. From the Select Images pop up window - Select the Camera button, your camera will open - Take a picture and select ok to save or retry to take again

               5. Your picture will now be visible next to the camera icon

               6. To select an existing photo - Select the Browse button - Select the proper path of the picture you would like to upload - Select allow to give permission if needed - Select ok

         3. To save any edits, select the OK button from the inspection point view window or Cancel to cancel
