How to start a Conversation with a new customer through the Next Gear Messaging Application

You can now create, view and edit your inspections from any work station, tablet, or device from a web browser

You can email your inspections right from the Next Gear Dashboard

Messaging works like most other Messaging applications and you can view your messages directly through the Next Gear Dashboard
How To
-
Open a web browser and go to nextgear.boltontechnology.com
-
This is the main log in page for the Next gear application
-
Enter your company's credentials
-
If you do not have credentials and need to register see below, if you have credentials continue to step 2
-
Select Register under the Login button
-
Enter your shops phone number
-
Select the Register button
-
You will receive an email from Bolt On Technology
-
From the email select confirm my account registration
-
Fill out the fields needed
-
Select Finish and proceed to the next step of this page

Select the Inspections link from the header at the top of the Next Gear application

Select Messaging from the top header bar of the page
-
To Search for an Existing Customer
-
Enter Their Name or Phone Number in the search box at the top of the page
-
If there is an existing conversation it will display
-
Select the conversation
-
Type your reply in the text box and select the send button
-

If there is no existing conversation
-
No conversations found will display on screen

To Start a Conversation with a New Customer

Select the Plus Sign from the bottom right hand corner of the screen
-
From the Start Conversation Pop Up window
-
select the New Customer button
-
From the new customer pop-up window
-
Fill in the customer values in the corresponding text fields

Select the ok button
-

A new Conversation window will appear on the Original search screen

Type in your message and select send

Select the x in the top corner to close this message
