How to share an inspection with your shop's customers

Things To Note

• You can now create, view and edit your Next Gear inspections from any workstation, tablet or device

• You can load pictures from your workstation console or take pictures with your tablet

How To

1. Open a web browser and go to  nextgear.boltontechnology.com  

   1. This is the main log in page for the Next Gear application

   2. Enter your Cell Phone number into the text field with the mobile device icon

      1. Select the Send Access Code button

      2. You will receive an Access Code via text message and email to the phone number and account email that was provided

      3. Enter the Access code in the provided text field

      4. To stay logged into your account select the checkbox provided

      5. Select the Sign in button to proceed

         1. Select your shop location by selecting the corresponding button

         2. To Add a new location select the add location button

      6. Proceed to the next step of this page below

   3. To create an account see Create an Account

1. Select the Inspection link from the header at the top of the Next Gear application

   1. Your shop's inspections will be listed on the home page view

   2. This view gives you the basic information about your inspections

      1. Each item in the list view has, Customer name, vehicle type, type of inspection, general picture of detail health showing number of points in each color (red, yellow, green)

      2. Review your Inspections information

      3. To share an inspection

         1. Select the inspection you would like to share

         2. From the inspection page select the Share Inspection button in the bottom right corner

            1. Review the text and link

            2. Select Send
