Send Text Messages in Message Manager Pro

This article will guide you through the basics of how to create and send text messages through some of the different features of your Message Manager Pro application.

Things To Note

  • Message Manager Pro has multiple ways to send text messages to customers with just a few clicks. Below is a brief overview of some of the features:

    • New Message: Opens a new window where you must manually add the phone number of the customer you would like to send a text to. You may then add the body of your message and click on Send to send the text.

    • Quick Message: Sends a text message to the last customer that you have accessed in your Shop Management System, NOT to the customer that you have highlighted in Message Manager Pro. (Be sure your messages are going to the intended recipient.) Selecting this will automatically open the full conversation box.

    • Customer List: This is a searchable list customers found in your Shop Management System’s database and is a great way to pull up or create a conversation of any customer already in your database.

    • Work Orders: Will open a window containing a list of all customers that are currently appearing on your Shop Management System’s Work In Progress screen.

    • Calendar: Will allow you to see any current, future, or even past appointments or recommendations from your Shop Management System in a calendar format and bring up a text conversation with the customers from those appointments or recommendations.

How To

Below are steps on how to use each of the different features of Message Manager Pro listed above.

  1. Sending a text from New Message

    1. From Message Manager Pro

      1. Select the Home tab from the top menu

        1. Select the New Message box from the left side of the menu

          1. A window will appear allowing you to send a text message to a known phone number

          2. From here, put the phone number of the customer you would like to reach in the box labeled Phone Number

          3. Write the message that you would like to send to the customer in the box labeled Message

          4. Click Send

          5. The window will close and your message will be sent allowing you to resume your work

  2. Sending a text from Quick Message

    1. From Message Manager Pro

      1. Select the Home tab from the top menu

        1. Select the Quick Message box from the left side of the menu

          1. From here, a window will appear containing the full text conversation of the customer that you last accessed in your Shop Management System.

          2. From this window, you will be able to use any of the text message features available in a normal Message Manager Pro conversation.

          3. Write the message that you would like to send to the customer

          4. Click Send

          5. The window will close and your message will be sent allowing you to resume your work

  3. Sending a text from Customer List

    1. From Message Manager Pro

      1. Select the Home tab from the top menu

        1. Select the Customer List box from the menu above

          1. From here, a window will appear allowing you to search for any existing customer in your Shop Management System’s database

          2. In the box labeled Search, enter the last name of any existing customer in your Shop Management System’s database or scroll through the list to find the customer that you’re looking for

          3. Double click on any customer name to bring up a full text conversation with the selected customer

          4. From this window, you will be able to use any of the text message features available in a normal Message Manager Pro conversation

          5. Write the message that you would like to send to the customer

          6. Click Send

          7. The window will close and your message will be sent allowing you to resume your work

  4. Sending a text from Work Orders

    1. From Message Manager Pro

      1. Select the Home tab from the top menu

        1. Select the Work Orders box from the menu above

          1. From here, a window will appear containing three tabs.

            1. The Work In Progress tab contains a list of customers, automatically sorted by the most recently created estimates or orders

            2. The Work Order Search tab contains a list of all estimates or orders, searchable by number or the customer’s last name

            3. The Recently Posted tab contains list of posted invoices, searchable by entering a date range from the drop down menus above

            4. To message any of these customers simply double click on any name, order, or invoice

              1. From this window, you will be able to use any of the text message features available in a normal Message Manager Pro conversation

              2. Write the message that you would like to send to the customer

              3. Click Send

              4. The window will close and your message will be sent allowing you to resume your work

  5. Sending a text from the Calendar

    1. From Message Manager Pro

      1. Select the Home tab from the top menu

        1. Select the Calendar box from the menu above

          1. From here, a window will appear that will allow you to see what appointments or recommendations were made for the selected day

            1. Select a specific date on the calendar and filter by appointments or recommendations

            2. Double click on any customer name

              1. From this window you will be able to use any of the text message features available in a normal Message Manager Pro conversation

              2. Write the message that you would like to send to the customer

              3. Click Send

              4. The window will close and your message will be sent allowing you to resume your work
