Perform a Network Reboot

Occasionally your Local Area Network (LAN) can slow down, causing computer/web connectivity to lag due to packet collisions and corrupted settings. Follow these steps to see if a network reboot can resolve the issues.

How To

  1. Power off all devices

    1. Computers

    2. Tablets

    3. Switches

    4. Gateway

    5. Routers

    6. Access Points

  2. Power on your Gateway (Typically provided by your Internet Service Provider, or ISP)

    1. Wait for it to finish booting (All lights flashing)

  3. Power on your Router (If different than your Gateway)

    1. Wait for it to finish booting (All lights flashing)

  4. Power on your Switches

  5. Power on your Access Points (If you have them)

  6. Power on your data host computer

    1. Login

    2. Wait for it to finish booting

  7. Power on all other devices
