An essential part of using any product is not only understanding how to use it, but who should be using it for what. Below is a list of responsibilities for each Mobile Manager user, separated by roles.
Owner/Operator
Owner/Operators take on different roles depending if they take a more hands on approach, sometimes playing the part of a Service Writer/Advisor, or may be more hands off in the day to day running of their shop. In either case, they must still understand the value added by their shop’s use of Mobile Manager.
An Owner/Operator should:

Know how to use the Mobile Manager Tablets and Pro Pack

Build Inspections for what the shop will perform on customers Vehicle

An owner who is not hands-on knows the value and hands tasks over to Shop manager or SA/SW
Service Writer/Advisor
A Service Writer or Advisor must have detailed knowledge of the Bolt On Technology products that their shop uses and how they integrate with each other to operate in a manner directed by the Owner/Operator.
A Service Writer/Advisor should:

Know how to use the Mobile Manager Tablets and how it integrates with Pro Pack products

Meet and greet the customer and send the first text to a new customer for contact card
- Look at the schedule on a tablet to determine if a customer has an appointment for that day

if not, Search for returning customer or add new customer

Discuss with customer the needs or concerns of the vehicle and any recommendations that were left from last visit

Add jobs to EST/convert to RO
-
Prints lube reminder sticker and captures signature
-
Know the use of Message Manager for sending texts to the customer, when it is appropriate and why
-
Set next appointment when a customer pays an invoice and is ready to pick up their vehicle
Technician
Technicians will be the primary users of tablets running Mobile Manager, and must be the most adept in it’s direct operation. To use their shop’s Mobile Manager tablets to their fullest extent and generate the greatest productivity, a Technician should:

Fully understands the use of Mobile Manager

Knows that they only see the jobs that are assigned to them

Understands the labor lines, part lines and notes on the order tab

Knows how to look up repair information
-
Understands how to use History for look up
-
Knows how to start an inspection
-
Knows and understands the 4 steps to an inspection point
-
Understands the importance of the tech notes and recs (why they need both)
-
Understands how to take pictures and why they should be used
-
Completes all inspection points
-
Closes Inspection, review Score card, and make any additions needed to complete an inspection

Completes a job by marking complete
