Along with text messages you can send pictures or files from the Enter Message area of a conversation in Retention Pro.
While in a conversation with a customer in the Messaging Center, simply select the paperclip icon located to the right of the Enter Message field.
To attach your image or file, simply navigate through the file directory that appears. Once your file is selected, you can confirm the attachment by checking the filename displayed in the bottom left corner beneath the message box. If you realize you've attached the wrong file, you can easily remove it by clicking the “X” next to the filename.
To send the attached file, simply click the yellow "send" arrow as you normally would.
File size limits and important notes
While we can attach almost any file type to a message (image, PDF, etc.) the file cannot exceed 2MB in size. This will generally exclude a vast majority of video files as anything beyond a 2 or 3 second clip will be more than 2MB.
Previously, it was necessary to include some text when sending messages with attached files; however, this requirement has been removed. You can now send files without needing to add any accompanying text.
Don't panic if you cannot see the image or file in the conversation immediately. As long as you do not encounter an error sending it then it will eventually load in, and it is sent right away.
