This article is for the connection between Retention Pro and GEM-CAR
The data connection or "sync" between the GEM-CAR system and Retention Pro is triggered by adding new information into your GEM-CAR system. This means that if you add a new Repair Order or Customer in GEM-CAR it will trigger a sync automatically with Retention Pro to bring that information into our system.
Information:
Retention Pro remains connected to the GEM-CAR POS via a service uploader installed on the shop's host computer. For more information on connecting please see Establishing a connection with GEM-CAR

Above are the items we are able to read in a sync with GEM-CAR. Please note that our ability to connect with GEM-CAR is currently only a one-way connection. We are able to read information from GEM-CAR but we are not able to write information back to GEM-CAR.
