How to fix an odometer readings history in Report Pro

Things To Note

  • If Report Pro thinks an odometer number needs attention, the line will be highlighted in the Odometer fix pop-up window

How To

  1. From your management system

    1. Open a vehicle that has incorrect odometer entries in its history

  2. From Report Pro

    1. How to Manually Fix an Odometer

      1. Select the Tools tab in the Report Pro header   

      2. Select the Odometer Fix button (a new window opens with dates and odometer readings)

        1. From the Odometer Fix for (year, make, model) car pop-up window

          1. Scroll to the date/reading that needs the odometer fixed

          2. If Report Pro thinks it needs attention the line will be highlighted

          3. Select the date/reading to change. 

            1. Report Pro will guess what it thinks the odometer readings were on that date based on the vehicle's average daily mileage

          4. Verify or Enter the Odometer In and Odometer Out values

          5. Select the Ok button

          6. Repeat steps a through e for each record that needs to be changed

          7. Close the pop-up window to exit

    2. When Report Pro has identified an issue

      1. When an Invoice or Report is loaded for a vehicle and Report Pro has identified a possible issue with the Odometer readings for a vehicle, a yellow shield will display on the bottom right side of the Report Pro window

      2. Select the yellow shield (a new window opens with dates and odometer readings)

        1. From the Odometer Fix for (year, make, model) car pop-up window

          1. Scroll to the date/reading that needs the odometer fixed

          2. If Report Pro thinks it needs attention, the line will be highlighted

          3. Select the date/reading to change. 

            1. Report Pro will guess what it thinks the odometer readings were on that date based on the vehicles average daily mileage

          4. Verify or Enter the Odometer In and Odometer Out values

          5. Select the Ok button

          6. Repeat steps a through e for each record that needs to be changed

          7. Close the pop-up window to exit
