This article is for connecting Retention Pro with the ShopMonkey 2.0 system.
Establishing a connection with ShopMonkey 2.0
- First log in to Shop Monkey
- Navigate to Settings > Integrations > API Keys
- Click on New API Key
- Assign a name to your API Key, such as RetentionPro Sync, then copy your API Key.
- Log in to Retention Pro
- Navigate to Data > Data Sources
- Click on the blue "+ Add Data Source" button at the top right
- Find the option for "Shop MonkeyAPI 2.0" and click on Connect below it
- If you have already started the process of adding the connection and it is listed under Data Sources you can instead click Edit next to the data source
- Paste your API key into the corresponding box and click "save and test key"
Once you click the "save and test key" button, your API Key will automatically shorten. It is important not to click the "save and test key" button again after this occurs.
