How to edit your appointment reminder message in Next Gear

  • Next Gear allows you to create and edit Inspections from any web browser

How To

  1. Open a web browser and go to  nextgear.boltontechnology.com  

    1. This is the main log in page for the Next Gear application

    2. Enter your Cell Phone number into the text field with the mobile device icon

      1. Select the Send Access Code button

      2. You will receive an Access Code via text message and email to the phone number and account email that was provided

      3. Enter the Access code in the provided text field

      4. To stay logged into your account select the checkbox provided

      5. Select the Sign in button to proceed

        1. Select your shop location by selecting the corresponding button

        2. To Add a new location select the add location button

      6. Proceed to the next step of this page below

    3. To create an account see Create an Account

  2. From the inspection view of the Next Gear application

    1. Select the Settings option from the top right of page (the gear icon)

      1. On the left of the page under the Messaging heading

        1. Select the General button

        2. Under the Appointment Reminder Template heading

        3. Make your desired changes to the message within the text field.

          1. Remember words with [ ] around them are called wildcards and will use scenario specific information to personalize each message to each customer.

        4. Select the check mark at the bottom right hand corner to save
