How to create and edit your message templates for Quick Message in Message Manager Pro

Quick Message sends a text to the most recent customer you viewed in your Shop Management System, not the customer currently highlighted in Message Manager Pro. It is important to verify that your messages are directed to the correct recipient.

Wild Cards, terms in brackets [ ], are placeholders that automatically insert information like the customer’s name or the appointment date/time from your database into your messages.

Message Manager Pro includes prebuilt message templates that you can use as is, or edit to suit your shop. You can also build your own custom templates.
How To

From Message Manager Pro

Select the Settings tab from the top menu.

Select the Template Builder box on the right side of the menu.

A window will appear that will contain the current Message templates, along with the options to add, edit, or delete these templates.

To add a new message template, click Add in the upper left.

Add the title and body of the message to the template.

Add wildcards through the dropdown menu labelled Wildcards. See list of wildcards and their effects below.

Click OK to save this template to your list of selectable templates for Quick Message.

To edit an existing template either double click the template or select it click on the Edit button above.

From here a window will appear with options to edit the selected template.

Click OK to save your changes or Cancel to discard.

To delete an existing template, select the template you would like to delete and click on the Delete button above.

A prompt will appear asking you if you are sure you want to delete this template, select Yes to confirm.

Once you have finished, click the X in the upper right corner to close the window. You can then start using your newly created Quick Message templates in Message Manager Pro!
Wildcard Definitions:
[AppointmentAddToCalendarLink] Adds a link for the customer to insert their appointment into a calendar app within their smart phone.
[AppointmentCategory] Chooses category from your Shop Management System such as Lube Oil Filter Change.
[AppointmentDate] Pulls the appointment date and time from the Shop Management System.
[AppointmentNote] Adds any notes in the appointment to the message.
[CompanyOrCustomer] Automatically places the customer or company name in the message.
[CustomerName] Pulls the current customer’s full name from the document in use.
[CustomerNameFull] Pulls the current customer’s full name from the document in use.
[OptOut] When used in a text message, this allows the customer a response that will prevent them from receiving texts from you in the future.
[ReplyToConfirm] Allows the customer to type the letter “C” to confirm the text message.
[ShopName] Your shop name will fill in where this is placed.
[ShopPhone] Your shop phone number will fill in where this is placed.
[Vehicle] Customer’s vehicle information will fill where this wildcard is placed in your message.
