How to Choose different colors per inspection point in NextGear

  • You can now create, view and edit your Next Gear inspections from any work station, tablet, or device with an internet browser

How To

  1. Open a web browser and go to  nextgear.boltontechnology.com  

    1. This is the main log in page for the Next Gear application

    2. Enter your Cell Phone number into the text field with the mobile device icon

      1. Select the Send Access Code button

      2. You will receive an Access Code via text message and email to the phone number and account email that was provided

      3. Enter the Access code in the provided text field

      4. To stay logged into your account select the checkbox provided

      5. Select the Sign in button to proceed

        1. Select your shop location by selecting the corresponding button

        2. To Add a new location select the add location button

      6. Proceed to the next step of this page below

    3. To create an account see Create an Account

  1. Select the Inspections link from the header at the top of the Next Gear application

    1. Your shop's inspections will be listed on the Inspection view

      1. This view gives you the basic information about an inspection

      2. Customer name, vehicle type, type of inspection, general picture of detail health showing number of points in each color (red, yellow, green)

      3. Review your shop information

      4. For a more detailed view or to edit the inspection - Select the inspection you would like to view by selecting the proper inspection, you will now see each individual inspection point contained within the inspection along with basic notes.

        1. To choose a different point color

        2. Select the color on the point you would like to assign

        3. From the Inspection Point view window

          1. Add or edit the notes you would like

          2. Add or edit the recommendations

          3. Select a due date

          4. Take pictures of the point you are assessing

        4. To save any edits, select the OK button from the inspection point view window
