How to assign a technician or service advisor to an inspection in NextGear

How To

  1. Open a web browser and go to  nextgear.boltontechnology.com  

    1. This is the main log in page for the Next Gear application

    2. Enter your Cell Phone number into the text field with the mobile device icon

      1. Select the Send Access Code button

      2. You will receive an Access Code via text message and email to the phone number and account email that was provided

      3. Enter the Access code in the provided text field

      4. To stay logged into your account select the checkbox provided

      5. Select the Sign in button to proceed

        1. Select your shop location by selecting the corresponding button

        2. To Add a new location select the add location button

      6. Proceed to the next step of this page below

    3. To create an account see Create an Account

  1. Select the Inspection link from the header at the top of the Next Gear application

    1. Your shop's inspections will be listed on the Inspection view

      1. This view gives you the basic information about an inspection

        1. Customer name, vehicle type, type of inspection, general picture of detail health showing number of points in each color (red, yellow, green)

        2. Select the Inspection you would like to assign a technician and service advisor to

        3. From the inspection screen - Under the Customer and Vehicle Information panel

          1. Select the technician text field to assign a technician

          2. From the Technician pop-up window

            1. Select the radio button that corresponds with the technician you would like to assign to the inspection

            2. Select Ok to confirm or Cancel to cancel

          3. Select the Service Advisor text field to assign a Service Advisor

          4. From the Service Advisor pop up window

            1. Select the radio button that corresponds with the service advisor you would like to assign to the inspection

            2. Select Ok to confirm or Cancel to cancel
